On 6 Jan 2020, the MPIA delegation led by President Chin Soo Mau had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry YB Dr Ong Kian Ming.
The matters discussed were related to the Green Income Tax Exemption (GITE) entitlement for solar leasing announced in Budget 2020, the MPIA’s solar roadshow in year 2020, as well as the activities and business trends in the local solar industry.
According to the Deputy Minister, solar system could be a highlight for businesses as it helps businesses to reduce their energy cost.
